Mark K. Wilson
Mark K. Wilson completed his Air Force career as Director, Air
Force Center for Systems Engineering, Air Force Institute of
Technology (AFIT), Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He
led the team that created the Center, developed its charter and
provided executive direction for planning, executing, coordinating
and controlling the complex activities and roles of the Center.
Mr. Wilson served as the technical advisor for systems engineering
at the Aeronautical Systems Center and served in the Headquarters
of Air Force Material Command (AFMC), Directorate of Engineering
and Technical Management, as technical director. He was director
of engineering in the C-17 System Program Office at Aeronautical
Systems Center, where he directed all aspects of systems engineering
necessary to develop, produce, and sustain the C-17 Weapon System.
Mr. Wilson held numerous engineering positions at the Aeronautical
Systems Center and worked in important positions on many weapon
systems including the B-2, the F-22 Joint Estimate Team, the
Tri-Service Standoff Attack Missile, the F-111, the T-38, the
F-5E/F, the EF-111, the PAVE TACK and LANTIRN pods, and the Enhanced
Tactical Fighter. His first assignment was as a structural engineer
in the F-15 A/B Program Office, responsible for development and
verification of the structural dynamics of the aircraft.
He holds a MS in management from Stanford University and a MS in
management science from the University of Dayton. Mr. Wilson earned
his BS in aerospace engineering from Purdue University.
