Doug Wood has extensive experience in complex aerospace system
development, integration, and test, and in leading large teams
and functional organizations. His program experience includes
Space Shuttle, Tacit Blue, B-2, Pegasus, and Crew Exploration
Vehicle. Mr. Wood’s technical expertise includes:
digital fly-by-wire flight control system development, integration
and test; avionics architecture development; complex system integration
lab design, implementation and operation; and real time pilot/hardware-in-the-loop
simulation. As director of engineering for Northrop Grumman, Integrated
Systems Western Region (ISWR), Mr. Wood established an engineering
functional organization with 2100 engineers at three primary
sites supporting all ISWR programs, advanced design, and technology
development. His responsibilities included development and deployment
of common engineering tools and processes across all programs.
As IPT leader for B-2 Software, he was responsible for all
B-2 on-board and lab software. He managed an organization of

As director of test and evaluation, Mr. Wood was responsible
for managing a wide variety of technology labs, which included
system integration, materials, structures, wind tunnels, and
electromagnetic labs and ranges.
He holds a MS in systems management from the University of Southern
